The initial release of the Steam Weasel Client is out! Look for version
a01 on our
release page. This initial release demonstrates reading the
XML-based Report files, and displaying the board in a 3D Map Viewer.

I wrote a utility today that will automatically generate
documentation for the classes. It uses AutoDoc
and Python, so both have to be installed to make it work. AutoDoc will
parse the source files to create the documentation. The
python code deletes all of the
old documentation, calls autodoc with all of the parameters we need, then it creates an
html index of all of the individual pages that were created by autodoc, and finishes by
giving you a cvs command you can use to make sure all of the documentation is added to
the repository. -BS

Added scaling of height differences
and clamped values in sample reports so that everything below sea level
is depicted as at sea level. All visible in the
latest screen shot. -BS

Managed to get lighting and 3D
working for the complex hexagon method. It doesn't look quite like I
imagined it. Obviously quite a bit of tweaking still to be done before
the initial release. See for yourself.

Some minor progress has gone
undetected by those monitoring this website. We have been working on the copy in
the repository, but there have been no releases as we have not come up with something exciting to use. If you are interested in playing with
code, feel free to check it out! Go to the SourceForge site for Steam Weasel: http://sourceforge.net/projects/steamweasel/. You can look at the various things we
have goin on, and there are directions for using the pserver to get
anonymous access to the code. Best to all! -BS

First, thanks to Source Forge for
supplying this wonderful service!
We are still just putting the site
together, so things will look a bit shabby for a while. -BS
Documentation:
- Here is the Design Document.
- This directory lists all of the most current Concept
Diagrams.
- Our Class
Documentation gets rebuilt automatically, so it should be quite
fresh.
-
The Next Steps document includes a tentative release schedule, as well as a list of
future features.
- Also take a look at the lists hosted at SourceForge (including the archived discussions from eGroups).
